About Mi Xue
Mi Xue is like Michelle’s name.
Her colleagues called her this during her internship at the Japan-China friendship Hospital in Beijing.
Michelle has trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 14 years. Since completing University at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2008, she has worked in Multi-disciplinary health clinics in Sydney, owned and operated her own clinics in Regional Queensland, and now here in Tweed Heads NSW.
She has lived in Australia and overseas, in big cities, small country towns, by the coast and way out west. Michelle genuinely likes understanding and helping people from all different backgrounds.
For most of her life she has been fit, and healthy. She has always studied, worked and lived with passion and purpose. But, like many of us Michelle has had her share of illness and vulnerability. Throughout these times she turned to Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, which allowed her to become the compassionate and perceptive Practitioner she is today.
As well as studying Tui Na during University, Michelle has also studied Remedial Massage, and worked as a massage therapist in a Chiropractic clinic. She has over 16 years’ experience helping people with various muscular-skeletal ailments and pains.
Becoming a Mum of two wonderful children and belonging to a beautiful, lively family has promoted Michelle’s interest in women’s health, pregnancy and postpartum care. Michelle shows a familiar awareness of the current social and lifestyle demands on modern families.
With the current increase in mental health issues, and the emotional stresses in society today, Michelle has developed an interest in working with people in these areas. She applies her years of Traditional Chinese Medicine experience and also draws from previous studies of an Associate Diploma in Social Science and more recently courses in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), which aid her caring approach and her ability to focus on an individual’s needs.
She integrates these into the Traditional Chinese Medicine consultation and treatment process, where the mind and body are not separated: linking the body, mind and emotions facilitates connection and collaboration between Michelle and people in her care. This allows her to assists in bringing people’s health into balance.
